Ninth Grade Counseling Corner

 

 

The ninth grade counselor will provide a comprehensive guidance program that focuses on the academic, social, personal needs of students as well as career exploration activities.  Classroom sessions will be in all of these areas with topics being focused on creating success in high school.  Student, parent and teacher needs will be assessed to establish priorities for meeting the needs of 9th graders.  Counselors will also be available to provide teachers and parents with in-depth information on the personal, academic, social, and behavioral needs of ninth grade students.  Counselor will provide individual and small group sessions on specific areas of identified needs of individual students.

 

The counselor will also maintain accurate student records including cumulative folders, 4 year plans, transcripts, grade verification sheets, testing data, IEP, 504 Plans and other reports as related to ninth grade students.
